I saw Adrian Noble's incredibly way-out production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at the RSC in Stratford in 2002... raunchy but very odd.

Everything of it was completely shite, including the acting and the set. However there was one bit at the end that was quite good - the 'house' set tipped forward and everything on it slid off and crashed onto the ground.
Fantastic Play and wonderful production
Sounds like the same production. I saw it in Bath a couple of years ago, though the guy playing Birling wasn't the originally intended actor. I thought it was great -- especially the rain effect at the beginning, the lightning and some of the lighting.
