a) I know this is shipping 'in the first half of 2005' but is there an exact date for it as yet
and possibly more importantly...
b) Is it going to be worth shelling out £100 quid for?
The trouble with Apple things is that they never come down in price, so there's no point waiting around for 6 months. They'll probably have another one out by then, anyway.
I am tempted by the Safari RSS features, but I already have Newsfire; I rarely search for things on my Hard drive, so Spotlight probably isn't going to be something I 'can't live without'; and I've tried Konfabulator and actually just found it quite irritating and pointless... why do I need something to tell me the weather when I can just look out of the window?
Also, does anyone know if there are going to be any updates to Mail? It seems so neglected now, despite the fact that it's probably the thing people use most regularly.

Oh jolly good.
Shame it is not going to get the lovely brushed metal look. Still makes it seem like an outcast.
I was looking at one of the fora on there, and it says that if you have just bought a Mac you get a cheap OS upgrade.
As I only bought my new iBook in October, presumably I am entitled?
Apple are such rip off merchants.

I wouldn't bank on it - the entitlement window is usually quite small.cat wrote:As I only bought my new iBook in October, presumably I am entitled?

I've got iWork, and Pages is fantastic - but not quite a Word killer. It lacks a lot of features that you would expect after coming from Word, but lets hope these get fixed in future versions. Keynote is fantastic, and importantly it exports to PPT pretty damn well.
