Perhaps you could help...

I heard a song with the following lyrics in it, my only trouble is I don't know the title or singer so don't know where to start looking.

"if its not what your made of, its not what I'm looking for"

I tried running it through some sites offering lyric identification etc but got no real results.

Anyone know it?

I was at a bit of a do where this girl was up singing it, it certainly seemed a womans solo song. Seemed a bit '90s pop but knowing me it could be in the charts and I wouldnt know.

"If it's not what you're made of, you're not what I'm looking for..."

That would be "What You're Made Of" by Lucie Silvas.

Now thats over... can I steal your sunshine?

Who sung the song on the HP Photo ad?

"Picture book, pictures of your mother, taken by your father, a long time ago"

I keep meaning to put Shazam upto the TV, but the ad finishes by the time I've dug out my phone...

Don't know what the song in the new HP Photo ad is (with the people exchanging photos of themselves).

I know the one before that was the Cure's "Pictures of You" though.

After a bit of Googling, I have found that the song is called Picture Book and is by the Kinks.

Can anyone tell me what song these lyrics come from?

"All I know is we've lost control, he says
I lay no blame but it's not the same, he says"

(Or something like that!)

I think it's either New Model Army or Ned's Atomic Dustbin. This song was a minor hit in late 1991.
Everyone hears what you say,
Friends listen to what you say,
Best friends listen to what you don't say.
