On my computer with my microphone plugged in and set up I wish to be able to hear myself when I speak into the microphone like radio and not record and listen so it would be live. If this is possible please reply.

Thankyou for your help

Not sure what you mean but it sounds like you want to hear your voice from the speakers as you talk into the Microphone.

If that's correct you need to open up your Volume control's and open up the recording properties and then make sure the Microphone control is selected. Similarly check that the Mic isn't muted in the volume controls.

Thanks but no success on that matter, I opened up Volume Control,

there were options for Volume Control, Wave, SW Synth, CD Player and PC Speaker, on other computers I've used in the past there was also a "Mic" volume control.

I went to properties and found a choice of options for Playout or Recording, Mic was on recording. I've come to the conclusion that I somehow need to move the Mic option to the playout controls.

If this makes sense please could you help me further
Thankyou, Tom

I have no idea what you want exactly perhaps some more information on what exactly your trying to do. Most people plug a mic in talk into it and they hear their voice through their speakers or headphones.

If the Mic Volume control hasn't appeared in the volume control panel then goto properties, ensure the volume is selected and then go down the list of items you can control and ensure Recording or Microphone are ticked then repeat the above.... that is if it's what you want to do.

Edit: Depending on your microphone and speakers you can get some awful feedback if your listening to it directly from the speakers with you and the mic infront of them.

Vol Controls > Options > Properties > Make Sure "Playback" is selected - and in the white box underneath, tick "Microphone" > Ok > The Channel should now be there, make sure it isn't muted!

You might have to select the "Mic Boost" option in the advanced settings (click the "Advanced"button under channel - if the button isn't there - click properties > Advanced Controls)

Good Luck
