About time for another one of these threads methinks...
So, what car do you drive/what have you driven previously?
I've changed car twice in the last year. I did have a 1995 Rover 100 Kensington SE (i.e. a Metro), but eventually it developed so many problems (with serious problems with the ECU being the final straw) that I'd had enough, and decided to cut my losses and get rid of it after 2 years.
It was replaced in May with a temporary car; a 1991 Rover Metro 1.1S. I bought this car extremely cheaply (£275) from a dubious backstreet second hand car dealer in Plymouth with the intention that if it lasted a month or so whilst I saved up for another car it'd be OK. It turned out to be an extremely reliable little motor and I ended up keeping it until a few weeks ago (in which time I did 10,000 miles in it) until the clutch wore out when I part-ex'd it for my latest vehicle, a 1995 Rover 414SLi.
Never mind the grandad image that goes with owning a Rover saloon, I think the 400 is a bloody nice car. Extremely comfortable interior and ride quality, very nippy for a 1.4, and very economical on fuel. Having the SLi spec also means I get lots of nice little extras like leccy windows and power steering. Did need a new set of plugs & leads but other than that I can't find anything wrong with it.
So what do you drive then? Be it a more conservative vehicle like mine, or some townied up Nova, what's yer wagon?

i've had three cars so far, my first was a blue citroen ax 1.0 which i had for about 9 months, after that i got a gold citroen saxo which lasted me three and a bit years, and now i have a mg zr+, which i've had since october.

I drive a Ford Escort with fancy wheels and a thingy on the boot.. er.. and a fancy steering wheel and gear bollox, or what have you. I know crap all about cars but I do know it's a chav-mobile, the kids with the chains down the road love it.
It looks not unlike something you'd win on Brucie's Price is Right, albeit about eight years ago. Actually, it looks almost exactly like this.

Luckily I have a full Drivers Licence, I just don't own a car, though I don't really need one, as college is 10 minutes away, work is 5 minutes away, so I'd rather walk.
But I am glad I am able to drive, get it out of the way and done with whilst I'm still 17. Plus it cost too much!
