Last night I was on my works night out and got totally hammered like the rest of them. Within the space of last night I've managed to question my sexuality by pulling a girl - mystifying many who were there. Anyhoo it's now the day after and I don't have a hangover. I did stink like a pub until I showered and my clothes stench of smoke and booze.
Whenever I have a hangover I always find that a few pain killers can cure the headache but I always have a craving for Irn-Bru. Apparantly it's the ultimate hangover cure and is one of these things well known around bonnie scotland.
The majority of you on here stay south of the border and Irn Bru isn't quite as popular so what exactly do you crave the day after?
Hangover Cures & Cravings
I am never sure what would be good to cure a hangover, usually each time I have one, I am usually in work early morning, so getting about and gettint something to eat can help IMO.
But if we're still out early enough in town we usually go to Subway and get something hot, as it's open until 3.00am in Warrington!

Toast with honey (Fructose helps metabolise alcohol).
Hot bath (May make you feel woozy at first, but works shortly afterwards).

An interesting point that. There's always Irn Bru in this household, probably because my father is Scottish and it's rubbed off on me. I love the stuff. But whenever I've attempted to use it as a hangover cure, it just makes me feel even worse. Maybe its effectiveness as a hangover cure decreases as you move further south?

The Irn-Bru does need to be chilled to the point it's near freezing... well not to that extreme but thereabouts. It's just the coldness and sweetnesss..... Thank god I have a bottle next to me now cause it's put me right in the mood - and I don't even have a hangover.
