No sound coming from my PC

There is no sound whatsoever coing out of my pc.
I know it is not my speakers because my headphones are plugged into the line out port.
My sound card is an SB Audio PCI 64V

Please could you help me to sort out this problem?

Still nothing and no error messages, I haven't installed any drivers lately and I have checked the device manager.

I'm getting a bit worried now because I have been unable to fix it

Headphones in the line out port?

I always thought that there had to be powered devices coming out of that port, ie, speakers.

are you just sticking headphones in the port on the back of your computer?

Which operating system are you on?

Have you installed or updated any hardware or software recently? i.e a new PC Game, a new version of Real Player or some form of audio editing equipment.

What happened leading up to the event of no sound coming from the PC?

I did install Digital Ear a couple of days ago.

It's been sorted now, I re-installed the drivers.
