Since another thread has rather quickly turned into a discussion about alcoholic bevvies, I've decided
to start up this new thread to discuss our alcoholic (or non alcoholic. if you prefer) bevvies of choice.

So, in time honoured tradition . . . discuss!

Budweiser, definitely.

For me it would have to be Budweiser, but Fosters comes a close second really, the better thing about Fosters is that it's available on tap and in pint form unlike Bud. We went to a place in Manchester a few weeks ago and they gave us Chezch (sp?) Republic Budweiser, where apparently it is brewed and it was just as nice. Though anytime I have been to see Manchester United play at Old Trafford the only choice seems to be Bud out of a can! Still nice though.

For some reason I cannot abide Stella Artois, I don't see why people rave about, it didn't taste like piss or anything, it just had a horrible aftertaste.

Stella's good in bottles, chilled. I only drink it in pints when my intention is to get completely shitfaced! :D

Beer/alcohol tastes like stagnant pond water, so I'll go with good old coffee

This explains so much.

For me (in order of preference):
- Guiness
- Newcastle brown ale
- Whiskey Sour (whiskey plus *non-carbonated* lemonade, thank you very much)
- Jagermeister shots
- Jack Daniels, neat
- red wine, if a lady's about

I most certainly will NOT drink tequila. Vile stuff, that.

I really don't mind beer. I don't drink that often, so when I do I can get very tipsy after just 3 pints! 6 pints and I'm throwing up, 8 and I'm unconscious.

When i go out I usually have:

Strongbow / Blackthorn
JD & Coke
Another Cider
And usually other stuff like Malibu, Bells etc.

I only get pissed to pull. If I'm sober I wouldn't dare do half the things I do do, and get away with them!

It's just so expensive going out though. Last weekend I spent:

£20 on drinks
£10 on the taxi
£5.50 on fags from the fag machine
£10 getting into the club

I'm a Strongbow/Blackthron cider drinker myself, interspersed with Voddy and Red Bull if I'm on a night out.

I'll sit in the corner and drink Bitter then.

I do know my lagers though. Budweiser isn't generally known as a quality beer - people who know what they are talking about find the stuff abhorrent, and I agree. Carling is by far the worst quality. And for those who drink Fosters, make sure they don't use that little button on the tap to give it some head. What a horrific practise that is.

Red Stripe tastes different to the rest, so I enjoy that. Still a JIm beam drinker when I'm feeling wasteful.
