I'm sure we've had a thread like this sometime before, but just came across a classic tune that I remember loving even as a kid.

OMD - Joan of Arc, I remember rewinding my tape cassette (what were they called again!!) to hear that tune again and again.

Maid of Orleans is also one that makes my hair stand up on the back of my neck.

I think my music tastes are constantly evolving, but I'm going through a phase of digging out those old tunes. Driving around South Wales the other week, I was amazed at all the old classic tunes that are played on the radio stations over there. I thought they were great.

Perhaps I'm getting old.... but then again I do like a hell of a lot of new stuff out there.

What are your all time favourite songs?

I'll chip in here, fusionlad. ;-)

Innuendo by Queen - a fantastic tour de force with Freddie straining vocals and Brian's wailing guitar about the mess we are in.
Two Tribes by FGTH - the perfect pop song?
Estranged by Guns n' Roses - hard to believe these American charvas wrote something of such beauty and emotional resonance
Nevermore by Queen - only 1m20s long, but the most fantastic love (or lost love) song I have ever heard, the emotion seeping in Freddie's voice.
The Universal by Blur - weird song, weirder video, but it just works.

Trouble with me is I always forget about the songs I love until I hear them again.

I heard November Rain by Guns n Roses in a pub in Swansea the other day. I LOVE that tune! But I'd never remember to name it as a favourite tune if I was asked.

I've always liked Wonderwall by Oasis, just brings back good memories. Freddie Mercury, Living on My Own is another.

Then there's the classic songs I used to listen to at my local Ritzy, N-Trance, Set you Free, Borny Slippy, Bellisima and suchlike.

Rolled around on the floor to Music Was my First Love the other week too!

Generally, all trance, hard house, hard dance and a dash of techno is FAB! It's too difficult to say what my faves are as I'd be here all flipping millennium!

I've listened to a brief sample of that on the iTMS. It's . . . bearable . . . but only just! I'm sure that
the Goo Goo Dolls (daft name for a rock band IMO!) aren't exactly reknowned for doing rock ballads.

Although "not my cup of tea" I would class that as actual music, unlike most of the stuff you're into!
