As stated in the subject header, what is everyone's first music single.

Well to kick it off.... umm... erm....

Kylie and Jason - Especially for you (!)

To make matters worse, my second single was Angry Anderson - Suddenly (The theme to Scott and Charlene's Wedding in Neighbours!) Oh come on, I was 8 at the time. All so innocent back then!

It was Olivia Newton John's "Hopelessly devoted to you" in 1978.

First album was Abba's Super Trouper.

I'm such a gay.

The first single I ever had (which I didn't buy myself) was the Mr Blobby single. My first album (again, which I didn't buy) was some compilation CD.

The first album I bought was the first in the series of "The Best Dance Album In The World... Ever" series, on tape, must have been 1992/3.

With regards to the first single, it'll have been one of these which all date from sometime in 1994, I have no idea what order they came out in:

Zig & Zag (of The Big Breakfast fame), their first single. Cool B-Side :)

Scatman John - Scatman (just found out this guy's been dead since 1999)

Snap - Welcome To Tomorrow

East 17 - Steam

Youssou N'Dour & Ninah Cherry - 7 seconds. Great song.

I will now go and put a blanket over my head to hide my embarrassment of admitting ownership of some of these records.

First album was True Blue by Madonna. Can't remember my first single, except that it followed some time later (it used to be that I always got albums)
