This is probably something so basic in the graphic package world but I'm a bit stuck.
Basically I want to know how you merge two pictures together so they form as one. They merge together with a bit of shading in between the two pictures.
Example can be found here > http://www.tv-ark.org.uk/bbc1national/b ... lindex.jpg
I know Photoshop can presumably do it but if there is any function for this on PSP8 I would be most grateful for any help.
Thanks in advance.

Um, that link gives a HTTP error 410, which is a "gone" servor error.russnet wrote:This is probably something so basic in the graphic package world but I'm a bit stuck.

Ah, a message on TV Ark's front page might explain why the server's thrown a HTTP 410 error:
"TVARK has temporarily suspended all updates until our bandwidth issues are resolved.
We are still working off-line on page updates"

It was the right link, I guess with the bandwidth problems that they are experiencing. I guess on hindsight that I wasn't helping as such although I didn't directly link in terms of showing the image directly on screen.
Anyhow, what I'm looking for is on the every page on the Ark and I guess similar sites as well as it appears a common thing.

You mean this, don't you?russnet wrote:It was the right link, I guess with the bandwidth problems that they are experiencing. I guess on hindsight that I wasn't helping as such although I didn't directly link in terms of showing the image directly on screen.

I can get it fine - just stick some ???'s at the end of the address.
It's only TV Ark's method of stopping people from linking to their files. To see the image, copy and paste the address into the address bar.Neil Jones wrote:Um, that link gives a HTTP error 410, which is a "gone" servor error.russnet wrote:This is probably something so basic in the graphic package world but I'm a bit stuck.

Lee Seaman, Ministry of Design, made me an A1 montage of pictures of friends and family for when I go to uni. I've got it printed down Snappy Snaps and just waiting for a frame now. Here is how it looks, and will try find out what techniques he used to create this effect. Looks bloody marvelous full sized I have to say.
Like Mark suggested, Lee used PSP.

Nice Pic. By chance, are two of those picture been pixelated as they are about to appear on Crimewatch!
It seems the clone effect on PSP is working for me although I will have to play about with it as it is only working at a angle. For example, two square pictures when I clone one with the other, the picture I'm cloning with will not start at the top of the picture but about quarter of the way down.
