Stress of course is not necessarily a negative. Stress acts as a motivator and we all need varying degrees of stress in our lives just to get things done. You may also find that you perform at your best when under a certain amount of stress, so it's all about levels really.

However, it's when you don't get the opportunity to unwind after the end of a period of stress, that you indeed become "Stressed" and all the unpleasant effects of that.

i hear that counting tins of plum tomatoes can be very stressful - i'm not sure i'd be upto stocktaking, emotionally.
