Call 0800 655 542....I joke...

I have perhaps on the forum tonight more than I have in the same period...but how am I doing? Is my slightly oddball view towards the world appreciated?

Do you like me asking so many question when I start a new thread? Would you like me to stop? Do you like answering these questions?

Ok, so now I'm being silly...

I think you're posting is PERFECT.

I'm tempted to post as many posts tonight as I've ever posted because I'm in that kind of rebellious mood but people would accuse me of pointlessness and increasing my count and stuff so I'll refrain.

I'm also tempted to call 0800 655 542 and see who I get!

It's the James Ison hotline, you can call it up to listen to me reading a news bulletin.

Funny that, I actually phoned it today - but I also rang an actual IRN person today, who was most unkind and wouldn't give me any news. Harsh.

I was shocked...I was also appauled it took them 6 hours to come up with the pun of "Jammy teenager" for the boy who eats nothing but jam sandwich.

What next!? Not firing the obit alarm!?

Actually, I'm not impressed. That sentence above makes no sense to me. "I have perhaps on the forum tonight......". Perhaps what ?

Don't tell me you have become the latest victim of the disease spreading across forum land, that of missing out random words from sentences, rendering whole paragraphs nonsensical.

It drives me mad.

It was more a case of unconscious word substitution which everyone is guilty of - including the most perfect people such as Mr Ison and, dare I say it, me.

Just replace "perhaps" with "posted" and Bob's your uncle. Or in my case, Kevin.

Which is more than can be said for imperfect grammar/punctuation/apostrophe usage! The correct version is this:

'I think your posting is PERFECT'......

May I suggest reading 'Eats Shoots and Leaves' by Lynne Truss? I am reading it at the moment....
