James Martin: The new Tony Blackburn

The Metropol admin are reminded that if the offending posts are not removed and the offending users banned, then legal action will be instigated by Source Student Media Ltd.
I think we all agree that would be too much for an Internet forum, so if DAS, Square Eyes and TVMercia are banned and their offending comments removed, then the matter will be settled.
Thank you,
J. Martin.
Can I suggest that the future of radio broadcasting may in fact be someone working for hospital radio i.e. me? Longer-staying patients on Wards 3A and 3B (orthopaedic surgery patients) have become fans of me!! I am the next big thing in radio!!!
Pilgrim Hospital Radio, Boston, Lincolnshire - Monday - Friday 19:00 - 22:00.
The place where broadcasting careers begin!!

I'll send you a clip of me on the radio if you send me a clip of you. I really want to hear you on the radio!Katherine wrote:* HANDS JAMES A CHILL PILL.......Flava wrote:I would like to point out right now that the posts DAS has quoted from Media UK, are actually from the initial version of my demo, and NOT the latest version, which is the one that DAS edited.

Too cheesy?DAS wrote:Chrissy Burns, a presenter at North Wales' Coast 96.3 wrote:Your signature says ‘Saviour of Student Radio’ - really? You are way way too cheesey for my liking. ‘My’ show makes you sound as egocentric as you come over on the forums. Links too long and no personality there...I am sure someone will like it beside yourself but you are trying soooooooo hard to be a ‘DJ mate’ that you don’t come over as being real. Unless you are really like that. From that demo I know nothing about you except that you are single.
People call Steve Wright cheesy and annoying and look where he is now ...
Steve Wright has timing, direction, delivery and a great voice. Cheesiness is fine to a point - Wright gets away with using jingles as songs rather than beds, Moyles gets away with repeating random songs and random jokes far more than necessary... all because they are a great listen overall.

Her links are awful, she leaves massive long silences between tracks and won't speak until a record has faded all the way down. So from her criticism, she is guilty of not hearing herself properly.
Steve's voice does get on my nerves at times ... he just can't stop talking and reading news agency syndicated articles out of the Metro on air!!DAS wrote:Steve Wright has timing, direction, delivery and a great voice. I have certainly noticed that he does use jingles quite a bit on his show - but some of them are truly awful (that opera singer one makes me want to hurl my radio out of the nearest window!).
Also will someone *please* fix that traffic jingle!

Can't say I'm a Steve Wright fan either - I find him annoying. And most of the programme is pre-recorded!

DAS has not broken any rules of infringed on your legal rights by posting samples of demos you have made public by posting on other open forums. I'm sorry James, but if you make these tracks available for us to download then you leave yourself open to comments being made.Flava wrote:I would like to point out right now that the posts DAS has quoted from Media UK, are actually from the initial version of my demo, and NOT the latest version, which is the one that DAS edited.

I am surprised that you would threaten legal action over what amounts to ciriticisms of your broadcasting style. It was a very poor show when a certain newsreader did the same, and I expected more from you.
In conclusion, there will be no action taken over the comments and mp3s posted in this thread. If you wish the thread to be closed then I will take that under consideration.
The truth is though that your signatures refer to your DJ'ing abilities, so you must expect some people to hold an opinion on the matter.
