Every time there is a big James Martin incident I'm away. I'm now about to go on holiday for four days so he'll probably die. *crosses fingers*

Not so much the new Tony Blackburn as the new Simon Luxton...

Back on CMP Radio (http://www.cmpradio.co.uk) tomorrow from 10am by the way.

I'm not being funny or sucky uppy but how come you are a receptionist and not a newsreading person? Surely they're at least a bit interested?

Sadly, the station isn't really big enough which means you're blighted at several stages. There's no-one that can sit and train you completely (although I admit...not being big headed here...that I wouldn't need that much training with the Newsroom software and how to open the mic!) - also it means there's not just the odd jobs I can do because it's such a small station.

But still...it never hurts to keep trying - and its certainly the best chance I've got of getting some experience before going to university. I suppose I'll have to do a bit more sucking up.

Training isn't just about technical though - there's formats to be trained in too, every station has its own format and I'm sure Fosseway, despite not being as formatted as, say, a GWR or Capital station, still has its own format.

Otherwise James you've explained a lot so I'll say thanks!
