Living only 2 mins from my Polling Station, I voted for the first time today.

Mayor 1st = Ken Livingstone
Mayor 2nd = Green Party

European = Labour
GLA Local = Labour
GLA General = Labour

Ooh, Lib Dems have gained Newcastle-upon-Tyne City Councill from Labour, usually rock solid Labour area; Lib Dems have wiped out Labour's majority, and also unseated the Labour group leader and deputy leader.

Choice of 2 independent County Councillors: The woman who came and knocked on my door and was lovely. The other candidate called me an 'arrogant tosser' - He was one of these Lord of the manor types with a pipe and Range Rover. He won, unfortunately.
