If your area is anything like West Yorks no doubt you will have noticed every other car now seems to be sporting an England flag. This seems to be a new craze which someone somewhere started and everyone is getting in on the act.
It seems a bit previous though as Euro 2004 doesn't start until next week and some cars have had the flags for weeks already.
So what's your view on this new craze, good patriotic support or tacky nonsense?
Flags on Cars
Good to see the flags up and about in Basingstoke, especially at my local pub, where all drinks are half price on Sunday!!!Andrew wrote:If your area is anything like West Yorks no doubt you will have noticed every other car now seems to be sporting an England flag. These flags have got all over the place, what I would like to know is where everyone is getting them from! I have seen them on at least two thirds of cars I've seen. A friend of mine from work wants one on his car, but he has to settle for the old Century FM/England sticker.

Well I've seen them for sale in garages, and for a lot less than that. Anyway, it seemed to start with the occasional car having the odd one or two flags.Index catalogue. £6.99.
Now it seems like most cars and some with up to 4. How common.
That's absurd!Whilst I do think it's nice to be a little patriotic, which we're not enough nowadays, I do think people go overboard sometimes.
Incidentally, I also think we should be banned from entering the 'Euro' football if we withdraw from the European Union.
There are countries in UEFA who are not in the EU.
This crazy flag-bearing is related to the pikey thread...
Loot at the cars the flags adorn - they're old Mondeos' and Novas' etc.
