As a drink eh? Better try that one out...

Cannot be beaten on toast with lots of butter.

If you love it as a spread try Australia's alternative, Vegemite.

You've never tried it as a drink!?

1. Take one fairly heaped teaspoon, place in cup/mug.
2. Add hot water to where the handle of the spoon begins and stir (if you don't do this, it's hard to get it to dissolve.)
3. When all the Marmite has dissolved, top up the cup/mug.
4. Enjoy. ;)

Hot Bovril is OK, but Marmite is in my opinion tastier. I used to have Bovril from the hospital tea trolley when I was admitted although it did tend to have the consistancy of gravy!

What's Vegemite like as a drink? I saw some healthy alternative in Holland and Barrett the other day, but dunno what's it's like.

By the way... http://www.ilovemarmite.com ;)

I tried it on toast once and I couldn't abide it as it tasted vile, I am more of a Bovril person really.

I absolutely hate the stuff. When I first tried it I wretched and could not get the vile taste out of my mouth for hours on end because it was so bad! Tis the most vile thing on earth to eat!

In the words of Gordon Ramsay, "It tastes of crap!"

There are a lot of people out there without properly formed taste buds it seems. ;)
Co-incidently, I had a cup on the go while Gordon Ramsay was on TV last night!

So, rts, how was your Marmite drink experience? ;)

I like Marmite :D

I prefer it on a sandwich though as opposed to toast. I think it tastes awful on toast IMO.
