Oh for heavens sake so you're all bored - I guess your presence at Metropol kind of compounds that fact.

As this problem seems to be reaching epidemic levels and nobody else is coming forward with any suggestion of a cure, you may find one or two ideas in my list below helpful.

- Volunteer to fold clothes that smell of wee at your local charity shop

- Do a jigsaw of a television transmitter

- Re-label your collection of BBC Regional News videos

- Dust your house from top to bottom with a sock on a clothes hanger and a banana skin

- Wash your hair (reserve this one for the times James Martin is on a student radio station somewhere)

- Play the Nick Harvey anagram game - just how many words can you make out of CARP ?

See, there really is no excuse.

Indeedy, it's the Palo Alto Research Center - part of Xerox, who exist to develop nice things.

Well I was thinking more of an alternative spelling of Park like in Centre Parcs resorts, or in Welsh.

I am going to see 'The Butterfly Effect' tonight.

This will briefly lift the weight of boredom from my shoulders.

Maybe we should start a Metropol book club or something, seen as we're all so bored. Or dare one member to do something and have them report back on their work.

Or truth or dare!

I like the idea of truth or dare. I think photos would have to be posted to prove that the dare has been done.
