It's pleasing to see that the MasterChef thread has been allowed to continue over the past week or so. From what I've seen posts have remained primarily presentation related, probably as by now users know that admin/mods would understandably clamp down on any discussion around the allegations.

It's refreshing to see a lighter touch of moderation being used, as it's allowed for some interesting discussion. A slight contrast to previous threads that have involved the likes of Edwards and Schofield, where moderation was seemingly on the heavier side, or at least it was a lot more noticeable.

I suppose the two other examples were quite different - both had swathes of speculation prior to their official naming, and both initially involved an age disparity and power imbalance that wasn't necessarily illegal. Gregg Wallace has been keen to publicly discuss the allegations in his case, and there was little speculation in the build-up, and it's clear this involves situations that have legal aspects from the outset.

And there's less chance of homophobic remarks in the Gregg Wallace case, of course.
