The Co-op now have a two-tier pricing system for their meal deals, £4 for non-members and £3.50 if you're a member. A 25p increase for non-members and a reduction of 25p for members.

It's only £1 to join. There are food deals every Monday on the Co-op app where they offer money off food items including sandwiches which can bring it down even further.m-in-m wrote: Fri 27 May, 2022 20.13I'd best become a memberMartin Phillp wrote: Thu 26 May, 2022 19.11 The Co-op now have a two-tier pricing system for their meal deals, £4 for non-members and £3.50 if you're a member. Thanks. The app wasn't promoted when I just signed up - saves me waiting for a physical card to add to my phone.Martin Phillp wrote: Fri 27 May, 2022 20.30It's only £1 to join. You can pick two food offers on the app every week and then have 7 days to use them. You can also earn money on Co-op branded goods.m-in-m wrote: Fri 27 May, 2022 20.56Thanks. Pays for itself once you've bought two of those meal deals then, since you save 50p a time.Martin Phillp wrote: Fri 27 May, 2022 20.30It's only £1 to join. I've noticed the rebranding of Euroshopper to Jacks in Premier branches is accelerating. Peanut butter, juice, crisps, cleaning products all moving over to the "Jacks part of the Tesco family" branding.
It's interesting how its clearly the same product yet instantly appears more trustworthy. I assume they'll rebrand first and then, as deals with Booker's suppliers expire, they'll probably look at consolidating many of these with the suppliers of Tesco own-brand.
Meanwhile in news that may appeal to Nick Harvey, and only Nick Harvey, The Grocer has been very impressed with the Blandford Forum branch of Tesco writing not one but two articles about it.

Can’t remember if I’ve mentioned it here, but I was surprised to see Jack’s-branded items in my local independent off license. Its only competition locally is a well-used Co-op, so I guess it gives them a bit of credibility to have Tesco logos on some of their products.
Interesting. Tesco have form for asset raiding their failed spin off operations with 'fresh & easy' appearing on produce lines (since tweaked to 'fresh & naked').
There was an attempt to launch Jack's as (another!) symbol fascia for Booker in 2020 but it appears the one and only location has rebranded.
My fiancée gained access to a thing called 'Company Shop' recently which has absolute loads of Jack's [Stores] branded stuff currently.

I suppose one could make the comparison, though I think the Safeway name has a lot more cachet than Jack's.JAS84 wrote: Fri 01 Jul, 2022 17.36 So Tesco are doing with Jack's the same thing Morrisons did with Safeway?
