Quatorzine Neko's reply to Roger Darthwell is pure TVF brilliance!
TVF's London Lite.
I thought it was needlessly taking the piss.Martin Phillp wrote: Sat 28 Nov, 2020 17.07 Quatorzine Neko's reply to Roger Darthwell is pure TVF brilliance!
And then I read the chain of messages that lead to it - so now I agree, proper classic TVF at its best (with an honourable mention to Jon for his similar post).

Why are some people getting themselves so upset about clickbait headlines about TV shows on tabloid newspaper websites? We all know those articles are shite, but they've been doing them for years. Just don't read them?! It's very easy to never visit those websites.
Some have even taken to imagining what the hyperbolic headlines might be, and then get angry about that... Bizarre.

The usual suspects were desperate for The Wheel to flop and for the Christmas idents to be rubbish. The fact both have been a success is making them ever more needlessly grumpy!

I like Roger - he's a character.JetixFann450 wrote: Sun 22 Nov, 2020 12.32I know the guy personally, as he manages a campaign to bring BBC Three back and tbh, at times he will go overboard with what he types. Not that he's a bad guy, far beyond it, but I'm gonna be honest, I was waiting for a post about him here on this forum cause I wasn't going to do it.rob wrote: Sat 21 Nov, 2020 17.30 That Roger Darthwell is slowly turning into a massive pain in the arse...
I honestly don't see any problem with the Reith font, however he thinks it's better if the BBC were to go back to Gill Sans and he also thinks the Curves were a waste of money as well as saying he hates the BBC Scotland channel and the new BBC News graphics. The only truthful thing I share with him is that I don't see the purpose of a whole dedicated 'Scotland' channel but that's a tangent you can obviously read about over on the other forum.
I think it's more that he wants things to be old fashioned, it's not just because he wants BBC Three back. I'm not completely against what he says, but I do think he needs to understand that things can't just change back because one person demanded it.
I love people with pet peeves who are unafraid to express them.
I do wish he'd use more paragraphs though.

I truly struggle to bite my tongue with Brekkie and his negative and know all attitude. I despair.
Asa said in the TVF thread on TVF that there's an issue with the server falling over every morning and he's been having to manually reboot it.thegeek wrote: Tue 08 Dec, 2020 06.15 Is the forum having a bit of downtime just now? I only mention it because there was another day in the last week where it appeared to be offline at 6am-ish.

Perfectly OK it seems for Kay Burley and Beth Rigby to be out flouting Covid regulations, unlike all the others that TVF have castigated for the same actions.
Erm. Am I reading the same thread? Most people are against it.tightrope78 wrote: Tue 08 Dec, 2020 12.37 Perfectly OK it seems for Kay Burley and Beth Rigby to be out flouting Covid regulations, unlike all the others that TVF have castigated for the same actions.
I’m not sure why Brekkie seems to be doing his best to shut it down, I never knew he was such a big Kay Burley fantightrope78 wrote: Tue 08 Dec, 2020 12.37 Perfectly OK it seems for Kay Burley and Beth Rigby to be out flouting Covid regulations, unlike all the others that TVF have castigated for the same actions.
