At least this move guarantees a strong Remain vote in Merseyside!
I was in Liverpool about 7-8 weeks ago and genuinely surprised how available The Sun generally was. The way people still go on about it, you'd think it was, effectively, a banned publication.
Yes it is surprising - I regularly see people reading it on the train as well. It does seem to be generally stocked in supermarkets like Tesco but you will be frowned upon if you even attempt to bring it to the till.

It's a very delicate subject as you can imagine. Personally, as long as The Sun continues to employ Kelvin Mackenzie in any capacity, their apologies are null and void.
That's what I mean. From what I'd read over the years, I expected even national retailers, garages etc. to simply not stock it. That said, even though I do read The Sun, I was genuinely too scared to buy the thing.

The famous headline has now - finally - been confirmed as bollocks, but I'm not convinced that McKenzie was part of the cover-up, at least not directly.

I'd certainly like to hear the opinions of those who are still intending to vote 'IN' after watching.

An hour and eleven minutes?!

I'm all for being informed, but (even if this was balanced, which I doubt from the title) nobody has that sort of time to sit and watch talk about the EU!
Well, maybe cityprick. But he'd have an aneurysm at the sight of Melanie Phillips.
Well, you just proved that as well as getting my ID wrong, you don't know the first thing about me as I did not have an aneurysm at the sight of Melanie Philips. I made it to about 4:50 before I found a fatal flaw in the movie. They reference the EU's lack of transparency, yet never mention that just about every democratic government in the world, has exactly the same lack of transparency about how the system works. Honestly if they can't get that right, then the rest of their argument is holed below the waterline, and sinking fast.

Anyone with a Sky subscription.

If you pay for Sky TV, in my opinion you lose the right to slag off Murdoch. If you've a problem with him, vote with your wallet and cancel your Sky.
Once again your opinion is based on a massive lack of perspective.

Murdoch has full control of News International, and only a minority share in Sky.

Murdoch has a protected right to be able to show allegiance to whoever he wants and/or present an argument however he wants in print, but Ofcom demand that Sky News show balance.

Say I want to watch the cricket live - how would I go about doing that? Do I lose my right to slag him off by subscribing to Sky Sports? Why should I have to decide between accepting Murdoch and his agenda or watching a sport I might love? [I don't watch Cricket btw, but I'm facing the same thing with F1 in a few years time.]

I presume by your logic anybody who watched any of ITV's channels or programming between November 2006 and July 2014 also lost their right to slag off Murdoch?

Newspapers are all on sale and return agreements, so the only risk they carry by agreeing to stock them is however many are nicked - which isn't going to be a problem.

We don't have Sky anyway, so that's one Schneider pointscoring attempt down the toilet.

i think the outcome of this is going to be very interesting.... loads of people seem to be voting leave around here (to be fair, conservative, rural norfolk).

i think whatever happens, we are seeing the rather painful death-throws of our current administration, i'm just not sure what the replacement is going to be.... surely... not boris?

Generally I'm finding it's Conservative supporters voting out and Labour supporters voting in amongst my friends. There are a few exceptions to that.

The next week is going to be a hell of a ride.

It will be interesting to see how things unfold. The man who is responsible for the horrible events which have caused the campaigns to be suspended has basically confirmed his motive and his guilt this morning by giving his name in a court as "death to traitors, freedom for Britain". Leaving aside how horrible pretty much everything about the situation is - it'll be interesting to see how the campaigns start up again. I dare say Leave are trying to not be the ones who'll resume campaigning first as it might be seen as tasteless.

I'd hope there would be a mutual agreement as to when to recommence campaigning.

Well all indications were that campaigning would resume today and they haven't - so it seems if there is an agreement it's a day by day thing...

I've seen digital posters for Remain again while out and about today, so maybe campaigning has resumed on a small scale...
