High Street chain collapse sweepstake
WHSmith are closing their Dundee branch in June.
That leaves St Andrews as the nearest retail branch (with post office inside)
The WHSmith Travel in the train station closed to allow the old entrance to be demolished. I think there may still be one in the hospital. Will keep an eye out next time I'm up.

"He has to be larger than bacon"
Thats not the only WHSmith in Fife with a Post office in it, - Glenrothes is also like that. Perth is just the same, Kirkcaldy could end up being save if the post office moves in with them...Pete wrote:WHSmith are closing their Dundee branch in June.

A few WHSmith retail stores in this part of South London have closed in the last 12-18 months, all which don't have a post office inside.
My local store is still open as it has the PO upstairs.
Incidentally it appears the PO at least here have decided not to go down the retail/PO route and decided to refurbish the local PO into one of the modern type formats with the sofas, self service machines and ticket allocation for the counter service.

TVF's London Lite.
I don't think so, I think they play fast and loose with landlords. Their Nottingham branch closed a year after moving to Nottingham's ultra-classy Broadmarsh (also home to the only Argos with 90s branding).JAS84 wrote:Is That's Entertainment in trouble? Is that Argos still like that? Last time I was in Nottingham was in 2013 and it still was then.WillPS wrote:I don't think so, I think they play fast and loose with landlords. And here it is, in a shot I took in 2012, looking delightfully 90s http://up.metropol247.co.uk/stu/IMG_0626.jpg
At xmas I went into the new That's Entertainment (terrible selection of CDs), which is right next to the recently moved Fopp. When did fopp stop being a place for bargains? Cheaper than HMV though.
