Popped into Morrisons on Thursday and they've already turned off the misting machine which was only installed in January.

In my experience they were off as often as on; I think they are to be switched off across the chain though, and thrown out along with the veg nobody bought.Martin Phillp wrote:Popped into Morrisons on Thursday and they've already turned off the misting machine which was only installed in January.
They did look cool, though.

You're right, they're back on today.WillPS wrote:In my experience they were off as often as on; I think they are to be switched off across the chain though, and thrown out along with the veg nobody bought.Martin Phillp wrote:Popped into Morrisons on Thursday and they've already turned off the misting machine which was only installed in January.
However there appeared to be a nationwide fault with the self-service tills which led to them all being closed today in my local store, although Morrisons claimed on Twitter that some were open.

Personally, I would reinstall the misting machines directly above the pie counters to give them a bit of glamour.

Speaking of pies, I reckon that Match and More should have an option to accrue pasties and pies instead of points. No other supermarket could copy it, seeing as the selection of pies and pasties is so woeful at the rest of the Big Four.all new Phil wrote:Personally, I would reinstall the misting machines directly above the pie counters to give them a bit of glamour.
One of the self-service tills in my local M Local was working today, which is a break from the norm. It even let me use my Match & More card. I received 0 points.Martin Phillp wrote:However there appeared to be a nationwide fault with the self-service tills which led to them all being closed today in my local store, although Morrisons claimed on Twitter that some were open.
Actually, if you can find a store which stocks the whole range, the JS line up is pretty good. Sadly they don't tend to sell especially well, they've never really been pushed and Counters managers tend to delist them to reduce wastage (which adds to the problem, as people can't rely on there being any - especially when they shop at an unfamiliar branch).bilky asko wrote:Speaking of pies, I reckon that Match and More should have an option to accrue pasties and pies instead of points. Morrisons is closing 23 stores - property writedown taking its toll then.
Not surprised that the misting machines are on their way out. The last time I was in a Morrisons, it just had an enormous crowd of old women stood around it complaining that it was making the vegetables smell funny.
