I think this is the question that many members have been asking for quite a while now... Rotas are incredibly dull and the presenter talk is very rarely normal and usually creepy.

Do we have to be nice about all celebs on there now, just in case one of them reads the post?
Surely the member in question talking about Nicholas Owen *was* attributing thoughts to the presenter himself? 'Please can someone put Nicholas Owen out of his mystery', assuming Moz meant to put 'misery', which is almost certain, is him suggesting he wants to retire as well?

'Someone put X out of their misery' and 'I'm sure X want's to cut his hours down' are on completely different levels.

I wouldn't be annoyed with someone saying "dosxuk should be retired", but I would with "I know dosxuk want's to do less work". One's somebodies opinion, the other is trying to get inside my head and use that to justify that person's opinion as some sort of fact.

I still don't understand what Moz is supposed to have done wrong, let alone justified a formal warning, unless all criticism of celebrities is now banned - in which case, the rota threads will become even more ridiculous than they are already.

There would have been no issue if he had actually provided some criticism, rather than just saying he's a "bumbling fool". If he had said

then that would have been fine. However, by just insulting him for (seemingly, at the time) no reason isn't exactly adding to the discussion or criticising the presenter.

Basically, I'd say it's just a matter of giving reasons for your opinion on a presenter, and not just resorting to insults.

Not sure how that was gleaned from one emoticon...

Don't forget, he is the owner of CommentUKLive, with his 218 followers on Twitter, he is obviously an insightful and competent journalist with skills far beyond us hoi-polloi.

Well, the use of that emoticon clearly showed that he was dismissing the editing of the show as a bit pointless. And he was very sarky in the Joan Rivers thread. Now, that kind of talk should go on DS, but he put it in such a rude way.

No actually, now I've read what *that* commented in the Joan Rivers thread, I agree with you. Absolutely despicable. If only we still had the death penalty.

*snigger*

She is a much more controversial figure (comments on Palestine etc.) and not as widely known, so perhaps it is more suited to Digital Spy. But then again, who knows what's suitable on TVF and what isn't? I thought banal rota chat and weird presenter stalking wasn't suitable but it keeps cropping up!

All I said was that it was rude and disrespectful - you're just having a go at me and twisting my words because you hate me so much.

I never said it was despicable or anything close to that. Nor did I imply it.

I was merely suggesting that seeing as she has died, those kind of sarky comments are unnecessary. You can say things in nicer ways, you know!

But the beheading story is very sensitive and quite upsetting for some.

There is just no point in posting anything on TVF at all because there is always someone who will attack me for it whatever it is.

I've told you before to ignore me if I annoy you so much.

Hate to be a pedant here but I believe I said you were annoying, not that I hated you *so* much.

Wonder what barcode will do with his time now TV Live Wiki has closed - he clearly loves all these details and used to boast that many of the articles were better than their Wikipedia counterparts.e
