Yes - and cue the fawning over said presenter once there's a hint that they may read what they write.
I know we have often moaned about the quality of TV Forum but tonight I think it really has reached an all-time low. Not only have the rota comments been picked up by someone whom they're about, but now there's a member with a cousin who 'pretends to have a mental illness' for the sake of finding out about some news story he read in a local London newspaper but appeared NOWHERE ELSE. Add that to the fact that bilky_asko has done some sleuthing and discovered he's been blocked from some fan twitter page and this story appears less than credible.
I'd suggest this might provoke the moderators to do something but I doubt it. They've made the 'rules' clearer but the fact of the matter is that rotas are still discussed and personal comments made. I'd like to think the fact a TV presenter who has been commented on by members of TVF has noticed would make the moderators do something but I hold out little hope.
Oh and ASO still annoys me - probably something to do with how he regularly posts in the Good Morning Britain thread and rota threads with the rest of them but also wants to be taken seriously.

Hopefully the end of the school holidays in most of the UK will stop these kids from posting as much.
TVF's London Lite.
BBC News Fix doesn't stop for or after holidays. BBC News Fix is genuinely disturbing and there's more of his ilk tolerated.Martin Phillp wrote:Hopefully the end of the school holidays in most of the UK will stop these kids from posting as much.
We've tried being accommodating, sectioning it off and ignoring it but even after spelling out rules they just proceed to carry on like complete fuckwits.
It's a pretty depressing time to be a TV Forum member. If it gets worse than this I'm not sure if I'll stop visiting but I'll probably start posting less.
Just ignore me then. Don't speak about me like I'm a piece of shit. I don't know what I've done to offend you but you're being awful to me. I post in the GMB thread regularly. So what. It's not as if I highlight every single technical problem every day like some members. Nor do I talk about who was in each seat today.Critique wrote: Oh and ASO still annoys me - probably something to do with how he regularly posts in the Good Morning Britain thread and rota threads with the rest of them but also wants to be taken seriously.
I post in rota threads as well. But it's not as if I've said things like 'who presented the one o'clock today?' Or kept rotas and shared them. Nor have I suggested anything offensive about a newsreader.
I don't know when I've made an effort to make people take me seriously. I just don't want to be undermined and spoken about maliciously by people like you for no good reason.

Same here. Filtering through the oddball posts and childish remarks is becoming tiresome.Philip wrote:It's a pretty depressing time to be a TV Forum member. If it gets worse than this I'm not sure if I'll stop visiting but I'll probably start posting less.
I'm beginning to see why some people are frustrated with the rota threads when all it does is attract oddballs.
Will I add to a rota thread from now on, despite when I do it's normally a genuine change from the norm? Probably not.
TVF's London Lite.
He started a thread which was basically about mental illness and tried to link it with TV - so he accused the BBC and ITV News of hiding news about mental illness from us. It was about some mentally ill person being sectioned for trolling someone. Shane thinks that the fact they got sectioned is really wrong and heartless. He also said that his cousin is pretending to have a mental illness so that Shane and his cousin can 'investigate further'. Which I was genuinely offended and upset by.Beep wrote:Can somebody please tell me what the hell is going on with that Shane Forster person?
Edit: If you click on his name, this shows up
