Maybe not a global 'block' - just a link I could click to hide all posts by a particular user. I've seen that feature on other forum software. It's handy to increase your own signal-to-noise ratio.

What's this Jane Hill/Jane Secker malarkey?

Has Hill changed her name to Secker, due to her civil partnership or summat or is the original poster mistaken for some reason?

(And what's the matter with mentioning Tim Willcox being spotted in the newsroom background? It's not very often you spot a newsreader that just happens to be passing through the newsroom! )

No it's just one of the forumers got the BBC's Jane Hill and Sky's Jayne Secker mixed up.
