Whenever forum favourite ginofish posts on TVF these, which isn't often (about once a month), everything he says makes sense, there are capital letters, full stops, punctuation marks in the right spots, and he can even have a valid point.

How times have changed.

I would have World News Today coming from Studio E as well, and Duh Nyooz Chanul (which should definitely take second fiddle to an International news channel viewed by hundreds of millions of people) should be kicked out of Studio E from 5-10:30pm.

The BBC is British for Britain, paid for by Britain. Commercial activities are a stain on the editorial independence of the News division that has made it the best, most trusted news broadcaster on the planet.

So, the London Tonight thread (which had been moderately interesting given its new home in the ITN green screen studio, and the piss poor editorial shift its taken, the following rota waffle was shoehorned in by someone called Sierra Oscar.

Excel is correct. Tue-Fri 5:30am (Technically starting late Mon-Thu night) are supposed to be Faye or Charlene. So then Mon-Thu London late news is done by either Faye or Charlene if need be as I know other sometimes do Thu but Fridays late is not usually done by the overnight presenter.

Sat-Mon 5:30am can be any of the freelancers- most often Rachel these days but also Sangeeta has just started presenting again and also Ali used to be fairly regular. Still though, the presenters are much more frequent than pre-2009.

This is correctly flagged as something better served up in the ITV News Rota thread, only to be met by this:

I think its that rather cavalier "so what?" attitude that makes the members who don't want to wade though rota chatter so frustrated.

What you personally prefer is really neither here nor there when a rule was set so as not to annoy the majority - but at least we can now understand why it doesn't work.

For you maybe, but there are other members who are interested in rota chat. The splitting of the BBC, ITV and Sky threads has helped so that the main threads are for presentation discussion.

But then again, we had that tape and chair nonsense recently too.

I mean - what's the fucking point of that place? You give them threads for rotas and not only do they ignore it, but they ARGUE the toss about thread-creep serving "interested members".

And he says the tape discussion was nonsense? Prick.

As is usual - if I continue to make a point based on the rules of the board my post will magically disappear and it will be another victory for the rota drones.
