Having not strayed into the News threads in recent months, I've not noticed just how HUGE an irritant Worzel is.

He has many awful traits, but the worst seems to be him providing a 'helpful' summary post every half dozen posts or so.

I don't understand how he can watch the channel all day. It's the same thing repeated more or less every 15 minutes. Breaking News isn't even as serious as it used to be and seems to be used all the time. The BBC are getting as bad as Sky News with the ticker being breaking news all the time.

Although his post about the report editing gaffe the other day did mean I knew I could rewind my capture card which had been on BBC News since I'd started up the computer and upload the video to YouTube.

No, his worst current trait is asking the same question in about 15 different threads. If the question is that unfocussed that no single thread is suitable, create a new one.

or cross posting the same video into six different threads "just so people can see it".

Perhaps someone could send him a polite PM? I'd offer myself but I'd just call him a twat

Yes, not to mention posting the same video in about 4 different threads in one evening. He's awfully annoying; most of the time he's trying to make out as though he knows what he's on about or has inside information that turns out to be a load of crap.

DanielK is also annoying me at the moment. He used to be contained within the Daybreak thread (which I have zero interest in) but he seems to have spread out into other areas like BBC and ITV News threads. He keeps asking ridiculously obvious questions or making suggestions about how broadcasters could do things better without any knowledge of how TV works.

There are several others too, mostly those who spend most of their time talking about newsreaders as if they know them or are a long lost relative. "Awww, bless him/her" etc etc. Totally inappropriate and if I dare say it, creepy.

I have something of a love-hate relationship with TV Forum at the moment. Most of the time I think to myself "why bother reading all this crap?" but then you get the odd thread which is really interesting, usually when some of us long-term members are discussing presentation from yesteryear. I know I'm blowing my own trumpet but I was pleased that I started that thread about the 1995 ITV News rebrand, as it's led to a couple of pages of interesting discussion. Personally, I think that's what TVF should be about; not mind-numbing observations about newsreaders.

Looking at your post history, you spend most of your time here pompously correcting people or attacking them for no reason. For some reason you've cottoned on to attacking me when I've said absolutely nothing to you to provoke it. Kindly pack it in or do us all a favour and stop visiting will you?
Agreed

Although much earlier posts seem to be much friendlier, it's like in the last week or so he's had a personality change and now can't get enough of attacking everyone else for no real point, or deliberatly misinterpretting things so he can take them to task about it.

Glad to hear I'm not alone in noticing it. I've done absolutely nothing to him - he picked apart a post I made about Alastair Burnet/Selina Scott and now he's done it again with this Breakfast thing. He seems to have an issue with taking everybody's comments too literally, but like you say he's probably deliberately mis-interpreting things just to have an argument. He's only been a member since March too! The cheek! Here's hoping Asa or one of the mods flushes him before too long. I've got no time for people like that. I'm all for having a discussion or debate, but Cando's attitude is uncalled for. It must be really hard for him to be that ticked off all the time, poor chap! :D

So glad you posted that, I thought I was the only one who thought he was annoying. He seems to have a bit of a BBC bias - although not completely. For example in the BBC News national bulletins thread, attacking people for complaining about the echoing sound in the first bulletins to come from the Olympic studio.
