What *is* with that BlackBerry nonsense anyhow? Speaking as a developer I am amazed they seem to have a single point of failure on their massive network.
Also I see Facebook have attempted to shore up their crap instant messaging system by releasing a separate app for android. Is this on the other platforms too?

"He has to be larger than bacon"
I've started the download again, under the assumption it would take 6 hours, like it suggested yesterday, only for it to be downloading the thing with an estimated download time of 12 minutes!
And then, Apple suggest an hour to actually update.

It doesn't appear that anyone here has had any major issues with the update - but it hasn't been smooth sailing for everyone.

These download estimates sound like they've come from The Bill Gates School of Minutes.
I've always puzzled why all Microsoft download estimates are out by a factor of, at least, ten. And that's either way. A "10 minute" download seems to take anything from one minute to an hour and a half.

Urgh.
My PC died recently - the one with iTunes. So, I install it again on my old backup machine (with the noisy fan) and attempt to sync - including "authorising" the machine.
But its prompting me to wipe the iPad and replace with contents of the new iTunes - which of course there isn't any - or copy the content of the iPad to the new iTunes. The latter is the sensible option, of course, but its suggesting it wont copy certain content - i.e. 22 paid for pieces of media and apps.
Where am I going wrong?
