I like it!
aside from the horrific performance of the new profile (for those who have enabled it) is anyone else finding the ticker is now using the same "any order but the order you'd expect" logic than the news feed uses?
"He has to be larger than bacon"
It's odd that this has only started to happen so noticeably in the last few days. The only completely guessed logic I can come up with is that for a period of testing the ticker was sitting in some sandbox, but now as it rolls out it's architected in the same very scalable but perceptibly inferior 'eventual consistency' model the rest of the site uses (in a nutshell, no given node can be assured to have a complete view of the data at any point in time) hence why things appear to drop and re-appear on refreshes, become temporarily duplicated, or anachronistic.Pete wrote:aside from the horrific performance of the new profile (for those who have enabled it) is anyone else finding the ticker is now using the same "any order but the order you'd expect" logic than the news feed uses?

My thoughts exactly as I switched the feature (back) on.
