It's called Micky D's too. And the correct spelling of your alternative version is Maccy D's.Philip wrote:Not Micky D's, Macky Dee's.barcode wrote:Micky D ( who actually calls it that?
McDonalds 1955 Burger;
Yes, I knew I had spelt it wrong! I just tried to spell it phonetically.Alexia wrote:It's called Micky D's too. And the correct spelling of your alternative version is Maccy D's.Philip wrote:Not Micky D's, Macky Dee's.barcode wrote:Micky D ( who actually calls it that?
Must be where you live, I've never heard anyone call it Micky D's, sounds a bit too Disney.

I thought it was quite nice, although agree about the onions being a bit less dramatic than the advert implied.
McDonalds food is certainly nice, on the condition you get it fresh and red hot. Once its been on that shelf or in your car sitting in the box for too long it goes crummy. Popping it in the oven to warm it up a good system although obv you need a second operative to pop the oven on before you get home.
As for Dominos, I find the trick is the half fat cheese, which gives all the taste with only half the beached whale effect when you demolish a whole one by yourself.
The previously mentioned Reform St branch in Dundee has had a revamp recently (to the lime and purple / wood and funky lampshades design) and its rather pleasant again after being quite grotty for a while.
Out of interest, do English branches serve Irn-Bru from a hidden non branded button or is that just up here?

Didn't like the 1955 I tried, filling was far too fluid as far as I was cancerned, the contents wanted to escape the bun far too easily.

Has to be over a year since I had a McDonalds.
Quite fancy one now.
Quite fancy one now.
I decided to make a formal complaint about the burger, to make sure that McDonalds got some views.
Couple of days later I got a letter in the post, from the company thanking me for my views and said sorry that I dislike the burger, and my Specific comments have been taken Very seriously and will form part of their forthcoming updates.
To make up for all the trouble I got a nice Gift voucher, (Sadly I have to wait until that Burger has gone so I can get something nicer.

I'd like to read a copy of that letter.
