It always used to be "10%ff" days when I worked there. I've no idea whether by accident or design, but all of the in-store signage used to say "10%ff everything", with the second "0" of "%" presumably to be read as an "o". It just looked utterly bizarre to me.Chie wrote:Homebase are having a 15% off event. That would be a sale, then...

I love the little Walls dog that says, "thank you for all the sausages".
Actually I love the expression on the man's face as he looks at his wife.

I know I know, everything is designed to annoy - but I have an absurdly empathic resonance with that bloke.woah wrote:That advert makes me want to throw knives at my TV. It is absolutely awful in every single way, cannot bear to listen to it.
Oh.. God how awful. I identify with pitiful gratitude.
Well that's a kick in the rubber parts. Didn't see that coming.

Not a fan, myself. It's yet another advert that implies men are stupid and can't express themselves. I'm thinking of Knorr rice, "I know you haven't got any of those artificial... things?" Flora Cuisine, with Vernon Kay and his possessive mum. Although she might be an actress pretending to be his mum, we don't know.
Men aren't stupid really, they just spend their lives pretending to be stupid, unable to fulfil their true potential, because being the school swot got you beats. Pathetic adverts like these just reinforce the pretense.
That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it!
Edit: Although having said all that: I would...
