I agree we probably cannot MAKE him understand. However, letting him go on and open himself up to repeated ridicule is not exactly a great move by TVF.

At least Katherine knew when to take a step back.

On the other hand, there are times when it feels like TT knows EXACTLY what he's doing. Occasional posts just sound TOO lucid, too normal, and too UNLIKE his usual fare. I still say there's something more to it than either a disability OR a troll.

From his four year tenure on TVF / Metro, along with his Youtube videos, it is obvious that he quite possibly has severe autism and most certainly has zero self-awareness.

So yeah, I'm with Chie. People are laughing at and encouraging the LOLspacker then get riled when said LOLspacker continues.
Ronnie is victorious, vivacious in victory like a venomous dog. Vile Republicans cease living while the religious retort with rueful rhetoric. These rank thugs resort to violence and swear revenge.

But Ronnie can punch through steel so they lose anyway.

The thing that gets me with the self awareness is the complete blind spot to any attempt by anyone to glean information from him.

As far as I am concerned he should have been banned for his own good years ago.

Agree.

He's not even the worst aspergers/autistic person I've seen on a forum. But people like him, they're like militant atheists, in that they'll have a big long spiel about something ready to reel off for hours at the slightest cue, but they've little to say outside what they've prepared and just ignore any line of conversation that might draw them off their own personal trail.

This is true, it's one of the common traits of ASD/AS. It's almost a 'reflex' to default to talk of the sufferer's narrow or intense interest when they are nervous or unaware of how to respond to any other communication.

What I'm unable to fathom is why Tumble considers it crucial to post miles of verbiage on a discussion forum when he could just as easily set up a blog and post the link on TVF each year, thereby sparing those who have no interest in his extensive and often somewhat persnickety opinion the bother of having to scroll past it all to get to something interesting.

Surely he must be capable of realising that if everyone did what he does, and everyone courteously read each other's reviews, we would be on the subject for weeks with no time to do anything else? This is what makes me think he could be indulging in his condition as a means of seeking attention. For instance I noticed he capitalised the words DISGUSTED and APPALLED this year, which to my knowledge he has never done before. It made me wonder if it was an attempt to up his game.

As long as nobody treats him like a bloody dancing bear, which was the way things looked to be going last night, I'm not really bothered. However I would say the best course of action from here onwards would be to ignore Tumble completely, then if he is indeed a wind-up merchant his time spent writing reviews will have been in vain, and if not then it's not like he relishes interacting with others anyway.

Yes, it would be very inappropriate to snipe at him on the forum.

But let's publicly dissect his mental condition instead.

As a means of dissuading people from sniping at him on the forum.

But, at the same time, guessing at possible mental conditions he may or may not have.

Yes, I have to say I'm finding some comments rather hypocritical. Mr Tower has been removed from this board (for the myriad reasons given), so he doesn't have the ability to defend his position. Even if he wanted to, and he probably doesn't, as he seldom goes off-script.

So lets leave it. Its up to Asa to leave someone on his board or remove them for their own good.

And saying that, I have replied over there to correct his bullshit suggestion that he would, "find it interesting to read other people's opinions on all the songs" - when that's a bare faced lie.

The only time he ever engages in a conversation is to reiterate his opinions.
