A bucket of warm water

Does anybody know if there is any truth in the, what I suppose you could call, urban legend, where if you put a persons hand in a bucket of warm water whilst they sleep, they'll wee wee the bed?

Apparantly if you do it to a pregnant women there waters will burst.

My brother said this before it happend on a certain episode of Family Guy.

Sounds about right to me. Although I wouldn't necessarily trust Family Guy as a hard-and-fast source of unchallengable information, good as it may be. I did that, and for about eight months tried to force my dog to utter urbane wisecracks. It didn't work.

What about if you go to sleep in one of those flotation tanks? The same can't apply then, surely? I mean, the idea is that you get utterly relaxed, and if you go in with a full bladder...

I presume you mean THEIR rather than "there", or perhaps you mean that all water bursts in the vacinity when you place a pregnant woman's hand in a bowl of water?
