I for two am also excited, especially given that I can potentially reach it with only one death trap road to cross, and with slightly less distance to walk than you.

I must say the Artists impression looks fab. As does the Artists impression of the one here.

Oo-er, I seem to have looked at the Artists' impression for my new Tesco, and decided that it's for both. I don't know if I've been smelling Paint filler or something, but I heartily apologise.

The former Tales of Robin Hood in Nottingham has become a Tesco Express. I can understand the need for two or three branches of McDonalds or Starbucks in a large city like Nottingham, but it's not like people were queuing round the block to shop at the existing Tesco Express just 100 metres down the road from the new one.

100m is an over-exaggeration. There's one on Long Row (which is 300-400m), and one on Station Street just short of a kilometer.

Fun fact: all of The Tales of Robin Hood building was until the 80s a Tesco, and Tesco were the ones who leased the store throughout The Tales of Robin Hood's life.

There is loads of them in the city but it's not like they're a problem - if they're not successful then that's Tesco's fault. Nice to see Sainsbury's have finally got a Local in the city (and a lovely one it is too, using Sisson & Parker's former storefront on Wheeler Gate) and will soon have another at the top of Hockley.
