Now this annual event used to be OK because you would just get a ridiculous story at the end of a news bulletin or a piece on GMTV about how a family of ferrets has started caring for a nursery class. However, in the internet connected world, I get severe trust issues on 1st April. BBC News online is one of the worst places to be on the morning of 1st April. What's real? What isn't? Is it all a sham? Come to think of it I don't remember the BBC being here this time yesterday, the whole corporation is just a fool and the joke is on us.
Anyway, enough of my April Fools paranoia. This thread is actually to highlight one of the best April Fools I've seen for a while which came through my email from retailer Firebox. They highlighted how for today only you can buy a disposable cardboard bike, but perhaps my favourite product is detailed below - which I'm sure will remind you of a certain new standard in digitised television presentation.
