does anybody have any clocks in their house which must be manually changed now?

i did a quick count and we only have one.... a rather charming cuckoo clock my sister brought back from her travels in switzerland.

i remember as a child in the 1980s the hassle of my dad trying to figure out how to change all the clocks in the house, especially the old panasonic vcr we had which i recall being a pain because you had to flick a switch on the back for some reason to set the time.

i hope none of you apple iphone users are late for work tomorrow, probably best you keep a backup alarm clock going for a few days.

I have three clocks that need to be manually changed, an actual clock with hands and Roman Numerals, the clock on my stereo, and the clock on the oven.

I believe iPhone users got the clock change without issue, and I certainly did on the BlackBerry.

My problem is when you first wake up knowing whether or not each device has changed time or not - though nowadays it seems as though almost everything changes time automatically.

I turn my microwave off as I rarely use it, so when it's on the time is usually 00:15 or something bizarre.

Two alarm clocks

I don't think I'd trust an automatically changing alarm clock, I always seem to be rota'd on the sunday of the clock changes and there's always someone in early/late because they've used their iphone as an alarm and it either hasn't changed or they manually changed it before going to bed and it's then automatically moved forward/back another hour!

Oven, watch and big clock wall are my only manual ones. The microwave gets turned off at the wall since I discovered it guzzles 12w just to power the useless clock.

The DAB (sorry marksi) alarm clock and the radio in the car both need turned on to a radio station to trigger the change but do so within moments.

Ach it's a real pain in the tits.

I only just got round to changing my central heating and hot water timings to ensure it was hunky-dory for my morning shower (literally, last week), and will have to go back and amend it all. Not quite sure how to change the clock on the system, so its just easier to go through all the "ON/OFF" timings for weekdays, weekends etc.

Oh, and my cooker - I don't have the manual for it and the German iconography on the buttons is all Greek to me.

It must be right for six months of the year, but I don't know which six, so I tend to ignore all but the minutes when I'm actually baking something.
