Well its most interesting you should mention this, as I have been struggling on with a system of having a paper template with cut out holes to cover the offending MICR.

However this thread has reminded me that this solution has got on my tits a lot, and I have hterefore indulged in a spot of UNWISE PURCHASING:

I suspect that it shall ultimately be an expensive mistake but I intend to have fun setting it up at least :)

is it bad that if I wasn't currently penniless I would *love* to have one of those and print out thermal receipts to give to people and AMAZE them.

I used that exact model on the bakery counter at Sainsburys (back when we printed out receipts and attached them to the cake boxes with horrendous lengths of narrow sellotape).

Hello again!!

Well initial failure followed by .... ??

Total failure geting it set up owing to the fact that my PC is MUCH TOO NEW (and trust me, my PC is old!). There is also a flashing error light betokening something or other that I haven't yet gathered....

I have a grotty laptop running Windows 2000 but since i am in denial about the fact it might not work I have been putting it off. Currently I intend to try it on Friday.

Naturally there is a sense of antici.......
.....pation!

I shall report back with news!

EDIT: And a photograph I hope!!!
