No - no, I don't think it is. It's primitive, childish and patronising.

They'd make a nice set of leaflets, though.

Bear in mind this is America we're talking about, Chie. They need all the fucking help they can get.

Americans will never accept good design of banknotes like that.

They won't use the $1 coins that have been stockpiled: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-10783019. Instead they use tatty notes, with a value of 75p or thereabouts.

They'll end up with something that looks much like they do now, perhaps with a different font for each word, alternating serif and sans-serif as they're used to that on news graphics.

Allied Carpets have had a little bit of a makeover... from the old logo...

to the new...

I know it's not the same owners as the original Allied Carpets went bust, but the store on Newport Road in Cardiff has had the change.

Also the Curry's/PC World store, also on Newport Road, is now a Curry's PC World Megastore.

I feel I should point out that they were separate - but congruent - stores beforehand, and now having knocked through, are one big one.

Off topic but Carpetright annoy the hell out of me. I have never seen a national chain who have as little regard to their branding.

They will stretch and squeeze the logo on signs to take up the full space on the sign.

Just so long as they don't attempt the same when they find your carpet doesn't quite fit!

This is even better - a Currys (Currys PC World) next door to a Carpetright (which, contrary to their logo, is one word).

Sorry Bilky - what exactly is wrong with the Carpetright logo in that GSV picture you've linked to? Looks fine to me.

And just because a logo is made up of two different fonts and mixing small and capital letters, doesn't mean it isn't one word.

It's stretched. I drive past it often. And on the other side of the building is a squashed one.
