Betty Stoggs IS superb, but Cornish Knocker tasted to me like dishwater. I also had a couple of pints of HSD while I was on holiday in Kernow a couple of summers ago. That was nice.
what's your poison?

I'm a cider man, but of late I've gone off Strongbow - much prefer real ciders from the likes of Weston's or Thatcher's. Weston's Old Rosie (at 7.3%) is surprisingly easy to drink.
Never really got on with lager - don't really like the taste, but while on holiday recently I had a few San Miguels and cruzcampos which were surprisingly ok.
I like red wine, but it doesn't like me!

And as you will testify, Vodka and Red Bull gives me the power to break up bar brawls.tvmercia wrote:as you will testify, vodka is a very good friend of mineGavin Scott wrote:Cider or Vodka.
Vodka and (diet) Coke for me.
But too much and I don't remember anything.
I don't mind a cold lager at the end of a busy day though.

I don't think that's specifically anything to do with the vodka though.fusionlad wrote:But too much and I don't remember anything.

Tried Betty Stoggs at Christmas... really lovely beer.
Caledonian ale is one of my favourites at the moment. My local has a new Caledonian beer every month, and this months is Highland Fling. Then of course, there's Sign of Spring... a nice beer from Stonehenge Brewery, which is green...
