I'm currently using the beta of the new version of Firefox - anyone else giving it a try? I went from using mainly Firefox to mainly Chrome in recent months, but now I'll probably come back to Firefox. It seems very fast, and has a nice feel to it.
One issue with it however, for me at least, is that orange 'Firefox' button is directly over the close/maximise/minimise buttons, and clicking on it causes the window to close/resized.

I thought this was quite impressive - you dont have to install a full beta just a sort of small demo app. It beat all other browsers hands down in terms of graphical processing speed.

i do think the new skin in ff4 looks pretty nasty. it does seem faster than firefox 3 though. i'm still on chrome for the most part though.

I find that it gets confused if you've customised your previous installation. I had a persona on and had the toolbars so i had a set of bookmark buttons in the menu bar, as the installer fails to reset your toolbars to defaults it throws it. Only going back to 3 and resetting things before reopening 4 made it appear correct.Jovis wrote:One issue with it however, for me at least, is that orange 'Firefox' button is directly over the close/maximise/minimise buttons, and clicking on it causes the window to close/resized.
A rather annoying bug imo

Is that why when I first installed it it was all over the place. Its only because I rebuilt my PC did I get it to work (that was a coincidence, I didn't rebuild it just because FF4 didn't work)Pete wrote:I find that it gets confused if you've customised your previous installation.
