Being in Scotland, I don't see ITV HD listed in my channel line up (even in the 800s, where I find ITV1, BBC 1 England etc).

Does anyone know if its not carried on Virgin at all, or is it blocked somehow in Scotland?

It's on Virgin down in Southern England - 113.

Do you recieve STV Gav? If so, it's not available for some reason where you are, as is the case in Ulster and the Channel Islands.

I think this got caught up in the spat over ITV1 branding appearing in Scotland, so we won't get that HD offering up here. Last announcement was that STV HD would be launched in time for the World Cup.

Also, this post I found when Googling suggests a STV HD launch on Sky is nearly there so hopefully Virgin too.

I have a smidgen of doubt that STV will get it together that quickly; but I'll be happy to be proved wrong.

Seems curious that the ITV and BBC variants are carried on Virgin here in STV land, yet not this particular channel.

Curious slash annoying.

A test channel has appeared which appears to be STV HD. It is currently carrying colour bars and STV EPG data.

It's flagged as encrypted but is actually free-to-air.

I wasn't too sure either and haven't seen it with my own eyes yet, but things are looking up for a VM launch very soon!

Yay! Jolly nice of them to step up with an HD service when I've just had one installed.

I wonder if they'll have HD cameras in the studio for STV news and The Hour.

saw a bit of STV HD on virgin today. This morning appeared to be in a 14:9 zoom but in HD. Was fine on STV normal.

Any ideas?
