Adverts that irritate and entertain
Oh, I think that's rather amusing. There's also one featuring Vicky Pollard who goes in to the bank and asks for some chips.Sput wrote:Just saw a banking advert featuring Lucas and Walliams as the "ladies" from Little Britain. Nice of them to mark their final selling out so clearly to the world!
Sounds like a good campaign as neither of you have mentioned the bank in question. Or that the bank is a building society.

Adverts like these annoy me considerably. Why? Because the voices do not match the persons or their mouth movements. It is almost as though someone stuck a random voice on top of the advert. What is the matter with them, can they not afford microphones? They could at least try to get the right style of voice, pitch, volume and synchronise the voices correctly. It makes the advert look very fake, which they probably are anyway but it should not look like that.Malpass93 wrote:I don't know about you guys, but the "Wash it with Febreze" ad is really getting on my nerves.

Do you mean the ones with the supercilious woman who says, "and its from Glade, you know..."?Sput wrote:It's even more annoying that they dub the Glade adverts, because they're only american. Still, I guess someone somewhere did a bit of research that shows we British hate American accents a tiny bit more than badly dubbed adverts.
Rather horribly they are 100% British.
