I'm not saying there's not a rational basis for doing *any* of them, but quite a few of them are just bizzare.

And I *know* that if I'd started working when I was 18, I would have saved roughly £30,000 by now, which is a deposit and then some. And a car. :| What makes you think otherwise?

Go ahead, if you really want to. You'll need to factor in the £13,800 I've earned since I was 17 through self-employment (which I could do alongside a full-time job) and the fact I've never been asked to pay board.

That's hard to say, as it depends where the mythical job is, doesn't it? It could be within walking distance or it could be 10 miles away, in which case an annual unlimited travel card costs £630 per year. But I think walking/cycling distance is more likely.

Spot on.

Clearly, such a role would be incompatible with a being a Government minister.

But I think the view that he is much better qualified than any of the three would-be Chancellors holds.
