There don't, even the latests polls have shown this,

Labour: 40%
SNP: 20%
Lib dims: 19%
Toies: 16% Very nice last place. I can see Mr James H complaining about this.

Anyways LETS MOVE ON from this, Has Any one got any BNP or UKIP Election propaganda?

I love the way it's policy when it's barcrud's favourite party, but propaganda when it's any other party.

The BNP have policies too, many (but not all) of which I agree with.

Sadly, the BNP aren't standing here, so I'm stuck with voting for those UKIP lefties.

A flyer that comes through the door baring a picture of Winston Churchill endorsing the BNP is not policy.

Now this is a dedicated leaflet thread, the BNP *do* have policies (apart from that one) and they probably deserve a thread of their own. Hopefully one without hysterical screaming as there are many interesting comments that can be said without going down the Dick Griffin line.

I'm always curious to get BNP/UKIP leaflets and we have a charming BNP fellow standing in our constituency. Quite why he expects to get any votes in Dundee West (which historically used to give 1000 votes to the communist candidate) I'm not sure, but I await his leaflet with interest as he appears to be a proper mental skinhead. Which is odd as I thought it was his type they were trying to avoid putting forward.

The three I've had so far are a large 4 page newspaper one from the Lib Dems (clearly pan-scotland), and little individual ones from Labour and the SNP, both of which are pretty standard "look at me standing in crap parts of town" fare.

Apart from the amusing photo of the SNP person sitting at his (off) computer as if he is using it and the fabulous copy "Jim shares a joke with Hilltown residents Paul and Susan. However the economy is no laughing matter" there isn't anything of interest in them.

I don't think PC is the problem really...

I'm very disappointed, I've had no dreary bumph at all, and considering this should be a marginal Labour could probably take with a bit of effort, they don't seem to be particularly fussed, fielding a candidate who doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Likewise the SNP aren't going out of their way to defend it either. Ho hum.

As for that Scottish Labour PPB, it's a bit bizarre. Having to reinforce a position frozen in time for 20 years against a party that poses no threat is weirdly defensive, and half the issues being outwith Westminster's jurisdiction anyway. It feels pretty desperate too. Labour are probably aware that we're about a generation away from young voters in Scotland not being brought up into the same anti-Tory culture, where their policies might be given the same scrutiny as the other parties. If the strategy is PARTY LIKE IT'S 1990, it doesn't really give me much to rally around...

Fortunately I will not be receiving any BNP leaflets in this campaign. Not only because they feel London are traitors to England, but also because they are not standing :)

Islington South & Finsbury
Antonia Cox - Conservative
Bridget Fox - Liberal Democrat
James Humphreys - Green
Rose-Marie McDonald - UK Independence Party
Emily Thornberry - Labour

So far I have only received leaflets or letters or faux newspapers from the LibDems and Labour here. And it is really a two horse race here.

I've had a flimsy flier for the Greens, and the Scottish Labour newspaper type thing. The Labour election office is a few hundred yards down the road from my flat - decked out with balloons and bunting.

Nothing yet from the Scottish Tories. And thank god - did you hear Ms Goldie doing her "simples" impression on the TV last night?

Shoot me now.
