Oh, the "Dave" remark was indeed done to death by everyone, not just the Daily Mail, I've just used it again.

But my post is a breakdown of the Tories in an easy to understand chunk, taken from a variety of sources such as a 40 year old, a 50 year old and a 55 year old, all 3 of which have lived through Conservative government.

How old are you James? (as in age wise, e.g. 18-24) I'm just curious to see whether you have lived (as an adult) through a Conservative government.

I'm aware of that, but it seems a particularly cheap shot. People often mimick Cameron for having no policies, and then when policies come about, they resort back to the "Dave" argument. He can't win.

No, that's an example of being sensible and making sure people don't walk all over you because they think they can. Which is a problem I face quite often, as you can probably imagine.

The question about Tories favouring those with money is entirely valid. Tax breaks for the wealthy, inheritance tax cuts for the super rich - and so it goes on. The low paid stay low paid (abolition of minimum wage) and the middle income folk get squeezed.

Who employs people, Gavin? Who creates jobs? Who runs the economy?

Another saying springs to mind here. It's 'don't bite the hand that feeds you'.

We want rich business people to stay in this country not emigrate to somewhere where they and their business won't be taxed to the eyeballs.

At the end of the day, the Tories are just looking to keep the super rich, super rich. They can promise what they want, but jobs won't be made, the economy won't recover and the sheep that vote for them will end up poor and with no money or jobs to feed their families, if you want to vote in a government that won't help you you just want to seem 'posh' (which is the only reason I can see), then fine, it's your mistake when you are homeless. I know I'm stating the obvious, but some people clearly don't understand David (sorry 'Dave') Cameron's agenda.

by not immediately withdrawing the current measures before things firm up! It's not like we can't withstand this level of national debt for a little while longer, particularly when the share value of banks is slowly recovering. I don't see why the Tories are talking about pulling the plug so quickly after getting in.

Firstly, I'm not talking down to you, the only way I can see you getting upset is if you are unemployed and you just want to appear posh, and I've hit the nail on the head. Being old enough to vote is neither here nor there, because in 2 years, I can vote. I understand politics and know about Dave's agenda. He doesn't really care about poorer people, he just cares about his roots.
