I never bother with any of the cloths they give you free with the glasses; I find they're usually too small to get hold of properly and your sweaty thumb goes onto the lens instead of the cloth.
I just use a hankerchief (preferably one not just used for nose blowing) for day-to-day cleaning and give the glasses a wash in Fairy Liquid once a fortnight or so.

My preferred method is to run my specs under a tap of pretty hot (but not boiling) water. Just a quick rinse will wash away most smears like grease/sweaty thumbprints. Gently shake excess water off then pat dry with a clean cotton cloth - a material hankerchief as God suggests is excellent for this. Good as new, and without the need for chemicals. Kitchen towels/tissues are not for me.

I'm a collector of pint glasses. I have about 30-odd and I've got some crackers (Wadworth 6X, Handmade in Devizes being one.) However cleaning some of them is a bitch. Strongbow Sirrus' hourglass-shaped one is particularly annoying, as are the tall thin lager ones. Being dishwasher-less as I am, and with chunky hands, it takes all my finger-squeezing skills to get the cloth down in the bottom.
