I found a place that does the blue laser teeth whitening procedure for £99, so I thought that was worth taking a punt.

Managed to go 8-10 shades lighter (not as drastic as it sounds), and am thrilled with the result. They're not "hollywood" fake looking, just really white and shiny. Girls in the office have said they can't tell that they've been whitened, just that they look really good.

They're not known for giving compliments easily - trust me.

Anyone else tried this technique? Its done in one hour.

Where is this place Gav?
I really want mine doing, so I'd like to take a look at it if possible.

Its on Leith Walk in Edinburgh. You might find it being offered in sunbed/beauty places, as you don't need to be a dentist to perform the treatment. In fact, my regular dentist does the same thing for £350 - which is why I gave the £99 place a try.

I would never do this as I was told that laser weakens the teeth, as I believe there make the teeth more absorbent, to make them white.

I believe there is a gel that can do the same job. if I can found that link, then I post it.

Yes, why don't you post it to last week, before I went ahead and did it

Actually, I went ahead and did some research last night. Whilst it is true that for the first 3 days your teeth may be prone to staining from coffee, wine etc - after that there's no more risk than normal, and the tooth is unaffected, structurally speaking.

Besides, they do this treatment on every makeover show I've ever watched - so if its good enough for them its good enough for me.

The acid test is whether a brighter smile makes me more attractive when I'm out in the pub tonight.

We shall see...

Fraid not. That would have been a smart move though, eh?

He gave me those little ceramic teeth in various shades from white to, er.. not very white. I was somewhere in the middle.

At the end of the hour I was number 1 on the colour scale of white.

Yay!
